Healthy Moms is dedicated to reducing infant mortality and the number of low birth weight babies, and improving the quality of life for pregnant women and their babies.

The Healthy Moms program entered the Rochester Community in 1992, and is a part of the Rochester Early Enhancement Program and a partner in the Early Head Start program. An experienced team of culturally sensitive and ethnically diverse outreach workers address the issues and concerns of pregnant women, and women with young children. This program provides a variety of services including screenings, education, nutritional counseling, and other prenatal services.

Healthy Moms is a ten-session, weekly program. Classes are held in participants' neighborhoods, and focus on building self-esteem and life skills, strengthening parenting skills, and providing childbirth education.
