Patient Safety
Unity Health System is committed to your safety every time we care for you. We want you to know that it's not only our doctors and nurses who are working to keep you safe, it's also our technicians and diet clerks; our board members and hospital executives. It's our transporters, housekeepers, and volunteers. In fact, everyone plays a role. Even you.
Speak Up!
You, as the patient, can play a vital role in making your care safe by
becoming an active, involved, and informed member of your health care
team. After all, research shows that patients who take part in decisions
about their health care are more likely to have better outcomes.

Our patient safety goals
Each year, The Joint Commission researches problem areas in health care, and promotes specific patient safety goals and solutions nationwide. We adopt them as our own. This year, we've recruited groups of passionate doctors and employees from across the Health System to focus on each of the seven goals. These teams will develop action plans, provide support, and create effective means of tracking our progress.
